Questions people ask me

What is constant-currency revenue growth?

It is revenue growth worked out as if exchange rates had not moved from the comparison period. Indian IT companies earn mostly in dollars, euros and pounds, so they report it to separate business growth from currency swings.

What does QIB (ex-anchor) subscription mean in an IPO?

Qualified institutional buyers are mutual funds, insurers, banks and registered foreign investors. Part of their quota goes to anchor investors before the issue opens; the ex-anchor figure counts demand only for the shares left in that quota during the public bidding.
